Bandung - In a series of events commemorating the 73rd PU Day on December 3, 2018, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) held a National Infrastructure Development Exhibition in Gedung Sate, Bandung, West Java. The exhibition entitled "Dynamic Youth Fest" lasts for three days on Sunday-Tuesday, 2-4 December 2018.
The opening of the exhibition was carried out by PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono accompanied by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil on Sunday afternoon (12/02/2018). In his opening remarks, Minister Basuki said that the commemoration of the 73rd Public Service Day was very special because it was held in Gedung Sate, which was formerly called the Department of Verkeer en Waterstaat (Department of Transportation, Public Works, and Water Management). Where on December 3, 1945 ago, as many as seven PU employees were killed defending Gedung Sate from the attack of the Dutch army.
At the exhibition, the Habitat National Secretariat mandated to represent the Directorate General of Human Settlements participated by displaying photo contest exhibitions, Infographics competitions, and Poster competitions by the winners of the Competition from the Commemoration of World Habitat Day (HHD) and World City Day (HKD) in 2018. The winners of the competition were also presented on the agenda to explain the work with the theme "Innovation in the field of infrastructure to deliver a friendly city" in front of the visitors. In addition, photos were also exhibited as a result of the activities of the Clean Indonesia Movement, which featured frames of clean-up actions from all provinces in Indonesia held to commemorate World Habitat Day (HHD) on 28 September - 3 October 2018.
The National Secretariat's exhibition stand that raised the theme of disability and youth was appreciated by Mr. Dannis H. Sumadilaga as Director General of Cipta Karya, who at the time said that the National Habitat Habitat booth was able to accommodate the rights of all people and substantially represent the urban conditions we face today.
In addition, to add to the excitement of the event, the National Secretariat's Habitat also held various interesting games namely Dart Competition and Agile Ball Games for visitors who were given various attractive prizes if they won the race or got the highest score. Also included was a coffee stand for drinks in the form of Excelso and Thai Tea for visitors who were willing to take part in the Seknas Habitat Instagram account combined with stage performances from Bandung's acoustic bands, Stand Up Comedy and Idol Habitats that made visitors to the exhibition never lonely.
Not only entertainment, to add to the insight of visitors to the National Secretariat of the Habitat, they also provided an educational quiz related to World Habitat Day and World City Day and the Clean Indonesian Movement. Visitors who can answer questions correctly are given various attractive prizes.
