Who is Habitat Indonesia National Secretariat?

The National Habitat Secretariat of Indonesia, or abbreviated as Seknas Habitat, is an institution established by the Indonesian government as a form of government commitment to the Habitat Agenda which pays special attention to the issue of building and developing housing and human settlements in a livable and sustainable Indonesia for all.

Established officially in 2008 through a Joint Decree between the Minister of Public Works and People's Housing, it involves all relevant ministries or government agencies to improve the capacity of the Government and other stakeholders in better planning and management of the city; increasing the level of production and distribution of knowledge on issues and problems and settlement in housing and urban development; and strengthen a strong network for information exchange and cooperation.
